EXTRA SAVER LASIK

EXTRA SAVER LASIK

EXTRA SAVER LASIK is performed similar to the world-wide recognized SMART LASIK method, known as one of the fastest and mostsparing laser vision correction surgery methods.

The method is based on the development of corneal tissue flap, which is flipped to the side as a page of the book (without losing contact with the cornea) in order to enable the influence on the newest excimer laser and correct the existing vision defects. CustomQ ablation is performed during EXTRA SAVER LASIK surgery, while SMART LASIK and ASA Streamlight – personalized ablation.

The time of direct impact of the laser is unique for every patient, because it depends on the required correction, but, in order to create awareness of the speed of the procedure – the excimer laser implements the correction of 1 dioptre after approximately 1.4 seconds! Due to such short time of direct laser impact, the effect of external environment on the corneal tissue is reduced significantly, as well as especially fast healing process of the SMART LASIK method is ensured.

Taking care of well-being of our patients, sparing contact lenses are inserted in the eyes after surgery, which will promote the adaptation to new conditions during the first day (and especially during the night), while in the morning of the next day, the patient must arrive for a mandatory visit (free of charge) in order to remove these contact lenses.

It should be noted that this offer does not include any other free of charge repeated post-surgery vision control tests, which is recommended 5 times during the first year after surgery, or any other discounts.

QUICK RECOVERY

Driving is often possible during the second half of the next day, while returning to active daily life after 2 – 3 days, depending on your type of activity and lifestyle.

PROCEDURE OF THE SURGERY

A thin flap of corneal tissue is created, which is raised and flipped sideways as a page of a book. The flap stays connected with the cornea.

When the flap is flipped over, the correction of vision is performed - the excimer laser is used to affect the corneal base and the existing drawbacks are corrected (the shape of the lens is polished). The time of direct impact of the laser is unique for every patient, because it depends on the required correction, but, in order to create awareness of the speed of the procedure – the excimer laser implements the correction of 1 dioptre after approximately 1.6 seconds!

The flap of the cornea is replaced on the corrected eye and the natural healing processes of the body will ensure its adhesion to the cornea within the course of a few minutes. The corneal surface epithelium will cover the cut margin of the flap within a couple of hours and attach to the cornea.

Taking care of the sensations of our patients, protective contact lenses are inserted into the eyes after laser surgery. They will be removed during the mandatory post-surgical inspection on the next day. The contact lens allows to feel more comfortable during the first 24 h and serves as an additional protective layer.
