The first thing I said to my wife over the phone when I left the clinic was “Do you see like this ALL THE TIME?” Phenomenal. Thank you.
I am very grateful and happy that I took this step and had laser vision correction surgery! After giving birth, my vision deteriorated. For a whole year my husband insisted on me having the surgery, until I finally did it, and I am so grateful to Dr. Lukins’ Eye Clinic for that, as well as for consultations, post-surgery consultations, and check-ups. I now don’t wear glasses, and I am very satisfied with the work of the clinic and that I can live without glasses, drive a car and live without the problem of not seeing something! I had a really bad minus, but now I have regained all my vision! Thank you! Maksi Zanna
I had been working up the courage to undergo the surgery for almost 5 years. It feels like I’m in a wonderful fairy tale, since I now look at things with new eyes! I am beyond happy, because when I wake up in the morning, I don’t have to look for my glasses anymore! 🙂 Thanks to the whole team at the clinic for the result, because now not only my daily life is easier, but also while doing sports. P.S. And tell me Christmas is not a time of miracles! Baiba (multiple times Latvian champion and floorball team player). Surgery performed on: 07.12.2012 Baiba Juruša
Hi! I have been getting ready for this type of operation for a very long time. I am in the military and an active person during my leisure time. Finally, I was fed up with the constant discomfort of wearing eyeglasses and contact lenses, which I have been using for approximately 22 years. Many people would understand me. I found the information on-line. I read the references and information about therapy options carefully. I decided in favour of Dr. Lukins’ Eye Clinic thanks to a colleague, who had performed the same type of surgery here several years ago. His recommendation was the decisive one.
The process was emotionally exciting for me, but it happened to be very simple: I called, agreed on a visit, discussed the procedure and took suitability tests for surgery. After receiving a positive conclusion, the date of surgery was appointed. On the “D” day I arrived (I had to collect all my courage). I was placed in a comfortable room, where I was prepared for the surgery – 4 different eye drops were placed in my eyes. The next phase – surgery itself. Participants – one scared soldier, one polite doctor and a nurse. My concerns that a sudden eye movement can cause an apocalypse were soon dispersed. My task was to look at the green light and listen to the voice of Dr. Lūkins. I did it for about 20 minutes, although I had a feeling that it took no more than 10. Actually, it was done in an instant. The best part of the day was 2 h of peace and silence. And… here is to HD quality! 🙂 Put the sunglasses on and off to home, where I could pretend to be a war veteran and enjoy the enhanced care of my family members all day long. Next morning – a repeated visit and one more after a week. The vision stabilised within a couple of days. The only discomfort was experienced during the first four days, when the eyes became dry and I had a strong desire to rub them (which is not allowed). I took it with stoic indifference and, as a result, the prize was mine.
Thanks to Dr. Lūkins personally and to the rest of personnel for the professional service and polite attitude.
